Nashville School of Music is a working music school for artists, singers, performers, songwriters and engineers in all styles and genres of music. Study small group and privately with expert instructors, charting hit songwriters, and in million$ master recording studios. The location is in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee, close to the Grand Ole Opry, "the District" (Lower Broad) and Music Row. From the Riverfront (Lower Broad) walk to Tootsie's, The Ryman Auditorium, Country Music Hall of Fame, The Hard Rock Cafe, and other Riverfront attractions.

Expand your skills and get everything you need to know to fuel growth and jump-start your music performance career. The most intensive personal sessions available, taught by world class working industry professionals who also train Wynonna Judd, Gladys Knight, and Naomi Judd - have hits with Tim McGraw, Backstreet Boys, Reba, Lonestar, Britney Spears and Sawyer Brown - and who schooled at Julliard, Belmont, Texas A&M, and UCLA.

Tuition includes a core curriculum of 45 (fourty-five) classes, including MB1000, MB2000, and MB3000 level classes. All students complete three (3) classes each of Image, Stage, and Voice at the 1000 through 3000 levels. Additional classes in a variety of topics fulfill the core curriculum of over 45 live music performance topics. STUDENTS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to register for up to five (5) personal and private Intensives and Practicums. Students gain priceless access to hit songwriters, master studio sessions, and voice and image professionals.

How to Attend Nashville School of Music

2. Register for NSM. All ages are allowed, and minors under 18 attend with a parent. Free continental breakfast, breaks, hot catered lunch, and refreshments are included. Lodge in the event hotel with special NSM rates and enjoy local dining and attractions.

Registration - Tuition Sign up for up to five (5) private Intensives and Practicums in topics like "Songwriting Ahead of the Curve" with a hit writer, and Master Recording in a Music Row studio. All songs and styles of music are represented. One of Nashville's best kept 'open secrets' is its long standing huge presence in rock/pop, blues, and gospel music. NSM includes plenty of opportunity for personal "meet and greet" with inner loop figures. Hit writers Kenny Durham, Jerry Vandiver, Jason Blume, Jerry Cupit, and Terry Brown are among previous years' instruction leaders. Record producer / executive George McClure is available for career mentoring and master recording workshops.

Visit BB King's, the Hard Rock Cafe, the Grand Ole Opry, Country Music Hall of Fame, and world-famous Nashville nightspots in field trips, and enjoy Nashville's hometown Southern flavor while you're here.

FAQ's - Frequently Asked Questions
Who can register for Nashville School of Music?
NSM registration is open to everyone. A parent must accompany minors at all times (get your Parent Pass in the Registration area.) We see all ages "7 to 77". [NSM reserves the right to limit admittance.]

Will I receive further information?
You will receive complete instructions VIA EMAIL, after you apply. Be sure to use your best email address when applying and provide complete mailing address and phone numbers so NSM can reach you.

I attended NSM last year and want to come back. Are there discounts for me and my child?
Yes, returning NSM Alumni get 1/2 off - a 50% discount. And all children and youth under 18 get 25% discount.

I have friends and family. How do they sign up?
Friends, family, songwriters and artists and general public register and pay Registration and Tuition the same as you. The only exception is parents who accompany their minor with the Parent Pass. Register here

What about Hotel and Lodging?
As a courtesy to NSM participants, we have obtained special discount rates for the NSM group - across the street from the NSM sessions. Hotel arrangements vary from year to year.

Rooms are doubles and singles, 1- or 2-bed, sleep 2 or 4 adults, plus free roll-aways for children. Swimming pool, continental breakfast bay, and data ports in every room are sure to make your stay at NSM a pleasant one. Feel free to book a room in any hotel, on your own, if you prefer. You will receive a spectrum of close hotels.
