George McClure is a Nashville writer and independent record producer. Originally from "the other 4 corners" of Arizona, George McClure learned in the deserts of Mexico and New Mexico. He is the writer of "The Ballad of O.J. Simpson" and the original alien love song "I Made Love To An Alien Last Night", the former of which earned him appearances on TNN Nashville Network TV and the Nashville Tennessean. He is a prolific writer in border music, swing, and country and is author of two books and a musical.

During the 1990's McClure toured full time with his group “McClure's America”. He also found time to record "Champagne Saturday (Alien Love)" and to launch an independent record label with complete brick and mortar distribution, J.I.P. Records (Just Iss Planetary Records). He also opened the doors of his Trowbridge Publishing company to other writers. Trowbridge Publishing - BMI and Omnivore - ASCAP now hold catalogs of over 1500 songs by 115+ writers, including "Miles Away" on Discovery Channel's The Deadliest Catch.

In the 2000's, George McClure turned his attention to recording custom albums and business interests Nashville School of Music (tm) and his Star Search. These companies originated in 2002 as "Nashville Star Search - Trowbridge Symposium". 2004 gave birth to Nashville School of Music as a separate entity.

McClure's credits include Pussycat Dolls 2, Discovery Channel TV, "The Thing Called Love", BB King's Nashville, CMA Fest, Dish Cable Network, TNN Nashville Network TV, and the Nashville Tennessean in a feature article by Beth Stein.
